Getting started
What is a chapter?
A chapter is one route, tried for two weeks, in one of your areas. Each day Today shows one small step that fits your week, and you note what you find as you go.
When the two weeks end, the chapter review shows what they found, and you decide: Continue, Adjust, Switch or Pause. Whatever you choose, everything you did is kept. Chapters are not streaks: a quiet day never ends one.
How do routes fit my week?
When you start, you tell Daytoward how many hours a week and how much money a month you really have. Every route and every two-week experiment is built to fit inside that. A route never asks for more.
You can change your hours and money any time in Me, Week and budget. If your week gets tighter, tap Replan the rest on Today and the rest of the chapter is reshaped to the time you have now.
What happens if I miss days?
Nothing you did is lost. Every step you walked stays lit. There are no streaks and no guilt.
If a step slips, Today offers to keep your plan or replan the rest of the week. Too much on a given day? Tap Make it smaller: the lighter version still counts, and it is always free.
Signing in
My sign-in code didn't arrive
Codes come from [email protected] and usually arrive within a minute. If you can't find it, look in your spam or junk folder, and in tabs like Promotions. Check the address too: Use a different email lets you fix a typo.
After 30 seconds you can tap Resend code. A code works for 10 minutes. If yours has expired, tap Send a new code and use the newest email. Still nothing? Tap Use Apple or Google instead, or write to us.
Can I sign in with Apple or Google?
Yes, and there is no password. Continue with Apple works on iPhone and iPad. Continue with Google works on iPhone and Android. You can also sign in with a code sent to your email.
Once you are signed in, open Settings and tap your name at the top. Under Sign-in methods you can connect Apple, Google and an email to the same account, so any of them signs you in. Moving from iPhone to Android? Connect Google or an email first, because Apple sign-in is only on iPhone and iPad.
How do I move to a new phone?
First, on your old phone, make sure you have an account: Me, Save your progress. Without one, everything lives only on that phone.
Then install Daytoward on the new phone, tap I already have an account and sign in the same way. Your vision, chapters, steps, notes and reviews come with you. Letters from future you stay on the old phone. If the new phone already has a plan of its own, Daytoward asks once which to keep: the account's plan, or both.
Sync and offline
What stays on my phone, and when does it sync?
Everything you make is saved on your phone first, so Daytoward works with or without a connection, and with or without an account.
With an account, each change is sent to your account soon after you make it, whenever you're online. When the app opens, it brings in what changed on your other devices. Letters from future you and their voices are the exception: they stay on the phone that made them.
What does "saved on this phone, waiting to sync" mean?
Your change is safe on this phone and hasn't reached your account yet, usually because you're offline. Settings, then your name, shows when this phone last synced, or "Saved on this phone, waiting to sync since 9:41" with Try now.
The app keeps a list of what changed and sends it the next time you're online with the app open. There is nothing for you to do. If it still can't sync after a whole day, a short note says so, with Retry.
Do I lose anything if I'm offline?
No. Steps, notes and reviews all save on the phone and sync later. Help from your coach needs a connection; without one, you get the built-in tips instead.
If you change the same thing on two phones, the change that reaches your account last is the one kept.
Plus and billing
How does the free week work?
Plus starts with seven free days. Everything opens on day one. On day 4 we remind you that the free week is ending. On day 7 Plus begins and Apple or Google charges you, unless you cancel before then. Cancel during the free week and you pay nothing.
The price shows in the app before you start. Your light, map, record and recaps stay free, always.
How do I cancel Plus?
Open Settings, Subscription, and tap Manage in the App Store (or Manage in Google Play). It opens your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, where you cancel in two taps. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge; refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
When Plus ends, nothing you made is deleted. You keep going on the free level, in one area, with reviewed routes and built-in tips.
How do I restore a purchase?
On a new phone, or after reinstalling, open Settings, Subscription and tap Restore purchases. Plus comes back on.
If it says there is nothing to restore, check that the phone is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with, then try again. Still stuck? Write to us.
Can I get a refund?
Payments go through Apple or Google, so refunds do too; Daytoward can't issue them. On iPhone, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, ask from your order history in Google Play.
Privacy and your data
How is my data used?
Daytoward works on your phone without an account. With an account, your plan is stored so it syncs between your devices, and only you can read it. When you ask for AI help, only the text needed for that request is sent, and it is not used to train models.
Analytics are off unless you turn them on in Settings, Privacy and data, and never include what you wrote. You can export or delete everything in Settings. Details are in the privacy policy.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Open Settings, Privacy and data, Export my data. Daytoward makes a copy of everything on this phone as a readable text file and opens your phone's share sheet, so you can save it or send it to yourself.
How do I delete my data or my account?
Open Settings, Privacy and data, Delete my data. Type the word the screen asks for and confirm. Without an account, this clears everything on the phone. Signed in, it also deletes your account and everything we keep on our servers, straight away.
Deleting doesn't cancel Plus: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. You can also ask us by email. Step by step: Delete your account.
What does my buddy see?
Your chapters and the stones you walked, and the short notes you send each other. Never your notes, vision or money. You can end the pair, block a buddy or report a note at any time; a reported note disappears at once.
What does a mentor see?
Share with a mentor, in Me, makes a read-only link to your current experiment. Whoever opens it sees the goal and schedule, the stones walked, facts and questions, and weekly reviews. Never your vision, your other notes or your settings.
They don't need an account to open it. The link ends after the number of days you pick, and you can revoke it any time: it stops working at once. Making a link needs an account.
Letters, voices and accessibility
What is a letter from future you?
When a chapter begins, Daytoward writes a short letter from the you of three years on, made from your vision and the steps you really took. With Plus, a new one comes after every weekly review. It is imagined, never a prediction or a promise. Your letters stay on your phone, in Me, Letters from you.
How do I change the voice that reads my letters?
Go to Settings, Letters, Voice. Play a few samples (you can show only women's or men's voices), pick one and tap Use this voice. You can also set the speed and the pause between sentences there, or turn off reading aloud when a letter opens. Your phone's own voice works offline. The natural voices are made once per letter and kept on your phone, so replaying is free and works offline too.
Can I make the text larger?
Yes. Daytoward follows your phone's text size, up to 1.6 times the usual size. On iPhone: Settings, Accessibility, Display and Text Size, Larger Text. On Android: Settings, Display, Font size (the name varies by phone).
In Daytoward, Settings, Display and motion, you can also pick the theme: Follow phone, Dark or Light.
Does Daytoward work with VoiceOver and TalkBack?
Yes. Buttons, steps, stones and charts have spoken labels, and every screen is checked for them automatically.
We are still going through every screen on real phones with VoiceOver and TalkBack. If something is read wrongly or skipped, please tell us, and say which screen. It helps us fix it fast.
Can I turn off motion?
Yes. Open Settings, Display and motion, and under Motion choose Full, Calm or Off. Full: the world drifts and moments animate. Calm: short cross-fades only. Off: a plain background that also saves battery.
If Reduce Motion (iPhone) or Remove animations (Android) is on, Daytoward keeps motion calm on its own. Haptics, the gentle taps on key actions, can be turned off on the same screen.
Can I use Daytoward in Spanish?
Yes. It starts in your phone's language; change it any time in Settings, Language. Your own notes stay in the language you wrote them in.
Contact us
In the app, open Me, Settings, Help and feedback. Tap Send feedback for an idea or a question, or Report a problem when something isn't working. Or email [email protected].
The form adds your app version, phone and language for you (never your notes or your vision), and you can add a screenshot from your photos.

¿Qué pasa si me salto días?
No pierdes nada.
Entrar a tu cuenta
¿Pierdo algo si no tengo conexión?
Abre Ajustes, Privacidad y datos, Exportar mis datos.
Abre Ajustes, Privacidad y datos, Borrar mis datos.
Paso a paso: Borrar tu cuenta.
